Our Family

This is a recent photo of our family. My wife Alice is on the left, while Caroline (14) and Mary (11) are on the right. Bobby (9) is on the bottom. I appear to be presiding in the back.

This picture was taken while we took part in a Camp Sunshine retreat for cancer patients/survivors and their families. We spent most of a weekend at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center about 30 minutes from here. We are thrilled to now be over one year past chemotherapy for Bobby (read more about that here). Thank the Lord!

A friend of mine just participated in a Camp Sunshine, too. She had wonderful things to say about it. I know she'd love you to visit her blog: http://ver70.blogspot.com

My family homeschools, too, so I enjoyed your post below as well.

Jamielee,

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I'll have to take a look at your friend's blog also.

It is always nice to hear from other homeschoolers. I'm encouraged by how many people are deciding to educate their kids in the home with a God-centered worldview.

Eric, that's a pretty great looking family you have there! God is good! Take care and may the grace of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah be with you!
Love in our Messiah,

Eric,
I don't know if you remember me but Tony but be on to your blog. This is Travis Hibler. I heard about the unfortunate events surrounding your son and I would love to help. My sister in law Leigh Bleecker who is the finance director at Duke University Hospital in Durham. She is heavily involved with Camp Sunshine in the Atlanta area. I now live in Fayetteville with my wife. Please contact me if you need anything. My email is par4hibby@yahoo.com. I see how well you are doing and you could still beat me up on the court like the old days. You son is in our prayers. God Bless!

Travis,

It is great to hear from you. I remember you well. You were at H.A. when I was a senior. As I recall, you took a lot of abuse that year from all sorts of people. I'm glad to hear that you survived.

You mentioned Tony. Are you talking about Tony Doreman?

Thank you for the offer to help. We are thrilled to be past the cancer treatment stage, and are now dealing with follow-up care. Our son Bobby is doing very well. Praise the Lord for that! If we do need anything up your way, I'll be certain to let you know. I hope you are doing well. If my math is correct, you must be 33-34 years old. Wow. We are getting old, aren't we?

Thanks again,

Eric
